Introduction for subject and bachelor projects

This course is for students of Bachelor or Master of Engineering at DTU regarding subject and bachelor projects.

The course may take 1-4 hours and will be arranged with the project coordinator to fit the project course.

The objective of the course is to provide an overview of the library resources and enable the students to perform a thorough literature search and select relevant databases.

The course is based on the projects and includes:

• The library home page www.bibliotek.dtu.dk
• Search strategies and techniques (truncation, wild cards, and Boolean operators)
• DTU Findit (articles, journals, books, and e-books) – including ordering books 
• Relevant databases
• and maybe reference management with Mendaley
