Responsible conduct of research

- good research practices and research integrity

DTU Library offers sessions on good research practices and research integrity that can be tailored to your specific needs. This can be a supplement to the mandatory course in responsible conduct of research for all new researchers, or a stand-alone session, depending on your needs.

The session can contain presentations, discussions, group work or the highly rated and entertaining Dilemma Game where participants discuss dilemmas of relevance for their research group.

The purpose of the session is to clarify the central principles of research integrity, as well as delving into more specific topics relevant to each research group.

After the session, the participant should be able to:

  • explain the four basic principles of research integrity
  • use the Vancouver guidelines on authorship
  • use generative AI responsibly when writing scientific papers
  • appreciate the importance of open and early dialogue in research groups
  • understand more of the specific subject chosen by the research group (if any)
  • understand how breaches of responsible conduct of research are handled.
