Link to your CV from your DTU Orbit profile

If your CV is available on a website, you can link to it from your DTU Orbit profile. You have two options. The link can be shown as a globe icon or you can display the link itself with a link title of your choice. If you do not have a link, you can upload a PDF or Word file via DTU Findit and create a link to it - see how below.

The globe icon

If you add a link to your CV in the link section, it will be displayed as a small clickable globe underneath your profile photo i DTU Orbit.

  • Go to DTU Orbit, orbit.dtu.dk
  • Select "Log in to DTU Orbit" at the bottom to get to your DTU Orbit profile
  • Select "Edit profile"
  • Under the heading Personal Identification select “Add link”
  • Insert link
  • Under “Link type”, you can specify whether the link leads to a LinkedIn profile, a ResearchGate profile, or another similar site
  • "Click "Create" and "Save".

Select your own link title

You can also link to your CV in the personal profile section of DTU Orbit.  Here, you can add a title of your choice.

  • Go to DTU Orbit, orbit.dtu.dk
  • Select "Log in to DTU Orbit" at the bottom to get to your DTU Orbit profile
  • Select "Edit profile"
  • Under the heading “Curriculum and research description”, select "Add profile information"
  • Select type – i.e. the heading for the link (e.g. Research interests)
  • Select the link icon in the edit box to get to "Insert/Edit link"
  • Paste in the link, add the text you want to be displayed (if different from the raw URL) and a mouse over text (if relevant)
  • Click "Create" and “Save”.

Upload file and generate a CV link

If you have a CV in e.g. pdf or Word format, you can upload the file via DTU Findit and link to it on your DTU Orbit profile.

  • Log in to DTU Findit, findit.dtu.dk
  • Select "Upload your CV"
  • Upload your CV document
  • DTU Findit will generate a link you can use in your DTU Orbit profile and display as a globe icon or as a link in your profile text.
