Publishing research and GDPR

- where are the data about you as a DTU employee and your research output displayed

Metadata from publications that have at least one author affiliated to DTU are registered in DTU's research database, DTU Orbit. DTU Library undertakes the registration of all written publications. In addition, researchers may, at their own option, register any projects, activities, prizes, press/media, applications and awards related to their research activities at DTU.

Since 2012 DTU Orbit has been based on Pure, a CRIS (Current Research Information System) and full text archive offered by the company Elsevier. DTU Orbit is managed by DTU Library.

As a main rule, the metadata are displayed publicly from DTU Orbit. The metadata are collected from various local services at DTU (for local use at DTU), from national services (for various national services, metrics, analysis and indicators), and from international organisations. In the below overview you can see which data are collected by whom.

Please note that you as a DTU employee are responsible for keeping the list of your research publications written during your employment at DTU updated and correctly registered in DTU Orbit.
