IEEE - references and reference lists

What characterizes the IEEE method for citing:

  • the reference is identified in the text with a number in brackets. The numbering is sequential according to when the reference is mentioned in the text the first time.
  • uses a numerical reference list following when the reference is mentioned in the text.
