Open data
"Open Data are online, free of cost, accessible data that can be used, reused and distributed provided that the data source is attributed."

Open Data are increasingly called for by funders, policy-makers and by the data-driven science disciplines. For example, research funded by the coming EU Horizon Europe programme will have to secure open access to data in line with the principle “as open as possible, as closed as necessary”.
The mandatory use of data management plans to support FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable) and open research data is promoted not only by Horizon Europe, but by many funders and research institutions across the world.
DTU Library supports Open Data and good research data management in accordance with the DTU Policy of the Retention of Primary Materials and Data. We offer tools and guidance to write a data management plan, publish data and become familiar with the FAIR principles.

On Thursday of the Open Access week, DTU Library launches a new service: Data Drop-in.
Do you wonder how to use DMPonline, how you can link data published in DTU Data with your scientific article, how to start using the FAIR principles for your data, or where to find metadata standards for your discipline?
Then come meet the library’s research data management team and we will try to help you instantly.
Welome at Data-Drop-in every other Thursday, 12.00-13.00, this semester.
