Add projects and activities

It goes for both projects and activities that you must register them yourself in DTU Orbit. There is no official requirement for registration of projects and activities, but be aware that there may be different guidelines at the individual departments. You can only create projects or activities in which you yourself participate.

Projects and activities registered in DTU Orbit are displayed as separate tabs on your profile at DTU.dk, in line with publications. You can also select them for your CV in DTU Orbit when they are registered.

Projects

All types of projects with DTU participants can be registered. Projects with full or partial external funding must be registered.

PhD projects are added by the PhD office at DTU, but the thesis itself must be registered separately in DTU Orbit.

Aktivities

You can register your contribution as an activity if you have given a presentation. Participation in committees, conferences, and interviews can also be registered as an activity.

Add projects and activities to DTU Orbit

You can add a project or an activity to your profile in DTU Orbit:

  • Go to DTU Orbit, orbit.dtu.dk.
  • Select "Log in to DTU Orbit" at the bottom to get to your DTU Orbit profile
  • Select "Add content"
  • Select "Project" or "Activity"
  • Select the subcategory that matches.

You can also access your DTU Orbit profile via DTU Findit by clicking on your name in the right corner and then selecting "My output in DTU Orbit".

You can edit data afterwards, but only in projects or activities in which you participate. After logging in, you can search for the record and correct the information.

Publications from projects or aktivities

If publications are written in connection with projects or activities, these must be registered separately.

You can register press and media appearance, awards, and honors as well as applications to your profile in DTU Orbit - the procedure is as above.
