International Water Association (IWA)

From 1 July 2026 to 31 Juli 2029, DTU researchers can publish Open Access free of charge in 12 IWA journals.

There is no cap on the number of Open Access articles that can be published under the agreement in the participating journals.

If you are the corresponding author, it is important that, when submitting your manuscript, you indicate that your article should be published Open Access under the Danish agreement.

When submitting your research article to one of the IWA journals covered by the agreement, you must select DTU (Technical University of Denmark) as your institutional affiliation and use your DTU email address to be eligible for Open Access publishing under IWA's terms.

Use your DTU email address as the corresponding author.
State Technical University of Denmark (DTU) as your institutional affiliation.
Select the Open Access publishing option to publish your article without an article processing charge (APC).
Choose a Creative Commons licence.

Where several Creative Commons licences are available, we encourage you to select the CC BY 4.0 licence, as it is the least restrictive licence in the Creative Commons portfolio.

To publish under this agreement, you must be affiliated with DTU. The corresponding author must be employed by or affiliated with DTU both at the time of manuscript submission and at the time the article is accepted for publication.

Please note that the corresponding author is always responsible for the publication of the article and any associated costs.
