Laws and regulations

– key rules and practices for using text, images, code, data, and AI to avoid copyright infringement

DTU Library offers a session that helps students and instructors understand copyright and the rules governing the use of text, images, code, data, and AI. The session can be tailored to individual courses and integrated into project work or introductory teaching.

The purpose is to give students a clear overview of what they may and may not do, and how to protect both their own and others’ works.

After the session, students will be able to:

  • explain key concepts of copyright
  • distinguish between economic and moral rights
  • identify relevant legal exceptions
  • understand the rules governing the use of generative AI in academic work.
