Copyright and AI

Learn the basic steps you should take when using generative AI as a student, teacher or researcher.

Both DTU researchers and students are welcome.

We will give you an idea on where the legal status is on questions such as:

Is a picture or a text created with the help of AI protected by copyright?
Can materials created by generative AI violate the copyright of existing protected works?
How do we handle copyright of the protected materials used to train an AI, since it is a basic fact that AI-solutions have information from existing works in them?
What are the rules on uploading articles and such to a generative AI such as Microsoft Co-pilot, ChatGPT or similar?
