Webinar
Prompt engineering for researchers - a N5T course
Join this lecture to gain practical tips on how you can use LLM AI tools and prompt engineering in your research.
This course is offered by Aalto university under the Nordic Five Tech, N5T, collaboration.
Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Large Language Models (LLMs) are quickly reshaping research-related work. LLM AI tools, such as Aalto AI Assistant, are run by writing prompts asking the AI to perform tasks. The term prompt engineering refers to the process of repeatedly refining prompts to achieve the most useful and relevant results.
Join this discussion to gain practical tips on how you can use LLM AI tools and prompt engineering in your research. The lecture includes
- a short introduction to LLMs and generative AI in research
- practical use cases of prompt engineering in the research project lifecycle: brainstorming and planning, literature review, data analysis (software and code), publishing.
Who can participate?
The webinar is aimed at staff and students who are interested in a basic introduction to AI in research work. The session offers practical tips for prompt engineering in the context of research work. No prior knowledge of AI is required. Some information covered in the session, such as details of Aalto’s AI and RDM services, is relevant only to those working at Aalto.
