Digital Sandbox

Digital Sandbox at DTU Library is for you if you want to know what digital tools and technologies have to offer. Here you can experience Extended Reality (XR), work with your programming project or data from DTU Smart Library or you can try out different technologies in workshops hosted by digital experts.

Digital Sandbox is for all – regardless of whether you are new or experienced with digital tools and technologies.

A group of DTU students with experience in programming and VR facilitates Digital Sandbox and offers general support and snacks.

Where and when

You will find Digital Sandbox once a week in DTU Library, Building 101D, Lyngby Campus, in the fall semester.

Workshop with digital tools

In Digital Sandbox we often workshops introducing you to and let you experiment with digital tools or technology such as MS Power BI, Adobe Aero, Unity and Unreal Engine. See the what workshop you can attend this week in the library calender.

Endless possibilities in XR

XR, or Extended Reality, covers Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and everything in between. In Digital Sandbox we help you get started with a VR headset or show you how you can experiment with the XR facilities at the library yourself.

Programming in Code Club

Code Club is an open community  for students and employees at DTU with a focus on programming. For instance you can to work on your own programming project or data from the DTU Smart Library - one of the world's largest digital living labs! Perhaps a project from your course can help to solve real challenges in the library? You are welcome whether you have no previous experience with programming or if you just want to be part of the community and get a snack while you program in e.g. Java or Python.
