Get more accurate search results when you search for references in DTU Findit

The use of AND / OR / NOT

DTU Library has implemented improvements to the standard search engine used in DTU Findit.
PilDTU Findit

To help you understand the result of your search, we now show you exactly how your search string is interpreted when using the AND / OR / NOT operators.

If in a search you use e.g. AND together with OR, an interpretation of the search will now be shown above the search result with parentheses inserted to group the used search terms - see the image above.

You can copy, expand and adjust this interpretation of your search to optimize your subsequent searches and get a more accurate result.

You can of course group the search terms in parentheses in a search yourself - as before.

DTU Findit - the digital library
DTU Findit is DTU's online library service. Here you can search all the literature that DTU Library provides access to and that covers the research areas of the university, i.e. natural and technical sciences.

With DTU Findit you search across the library's collection of books and journals, articles and information from all the major and minor publishers - your one stop shop to search it all.

DTU employees and students have full access to DTU Findit.

DTU Findit covers app. 196 million articles from scientific journals and subject databases, app. 115 million are available online. DTU Findit also includes the 385,000 e-books that DTU Library subscribes to as well as the DTU Library printed collection of 312,000 books.
