New at DTU? Where to search literature and borrow books

DTU Findit - one place to search it all

DTU Findit is DTU's online library service. Here you can search literature covering the research areas of the university, i.e. natural and technical sciences. DTU Findit contains not only literature purchased by the library but also a number of additional sources with relevant content.

With DTU Findit you search across the library's collection of books and journals and articles - you only need to go one place to search it all.

You can refine, filter and sort the search results and you can save the references and export them. You can also subscribe to tables of contents from the journals via DTU Findit or make search alerts or feeds on your own keywords or authors you would like to follow.

DTU Findit covers 175 million articles from scientific journals and subject databases and 270,000 e-books - data that DTU Library subscribe to - and the DTU Library printed collection of 270,000 books.

DTU staff and students can download most of the literature found in DTU Findit directly, "free of charge". A small number of references have to be ordered from an other supplier still via DTU Findit - you get the message "Request from commercial supplier". DTU students must pay 50 DKK for an article from an other supplier.

Printed books can be reserved for loan through DTU Findit and students can pick up the books at the library at Lyngby or Ballerup Campus. Employees can choose to have loans delivered on their DTU address.

DTU staff and students are automatically registered as users and have access to the full DTU Findit via their DTU login worldwide.
