Get your unique reseacher ID, ORCID, via DTUBasen

ORCID, Open Researcher and Contributor ID, is an internationally recognised and unique researcher ID. It will identify you regardless of employment, job title or change of name. ORCID links your research to you.

The ORCID organisation is international, independent and non-commercial and has the support of established publishers, universities of repute and funders worldwide, i.a. DTU. ORCID was established in 2012, and by the end of August 2014 there were close to 1 million registered ORCIDs worldwide.

DTU and ORCID

DTU has joined the Danish ORCID consortium and all DTU researchers are encouraged to register an ORCID and link it to their profile in DTUBasen.

  • Create a ORCID
To create a new ORCID, go to your profile in DTUBasen and edit your personal information, click ORCID and then "Create a new ORCID ID". Follow the onscreen dialogue and your ORCID will  automatically be linked to your personal DTUBasen profile and DTU Orbit.

  • Link an existing ORCID to your DTUBasen profile
If you already have an ORCID, simply link the ORCID to your DTUBasen profile by clicking "Assign an existing ORCID ID."
