DTU Library offers several types of services for companies from the local community:

  • Screening for whether an invention has already been patented, i.e. we perform searches in patent databases for you.
  • Examination of a patent’s validity/legal status – has it expired? In which countries is it valid?
  • Guidance on how to search in the databases you can use at the library.
  • Arrange contact to the Danish Patent and Trademark Office, for example to have a dialogue search or a full novelty search done via the co-operation PATLIB.

Utility model, trademark and design
Utility model, trademark and design are alternative possibilities for protecting your inventions and ideas. DTU Library can provide guidance on these possibilities.
