About DTU Findit

DTU Findit is DTU's online library service. Here you can search all literature of DTU Library, covering the research areas of the university, i.e. natural and technical sciences. With DTU Findit you search across the library's collection of books and journals, articles and information from all the major and minor publishers - you only need to go one place to search it all.

You can refine, filter and sort the search results and you can save the references and export them to e.g. Endnote or Mendeley. You can also subscribe to tables of contents from the journals via DTU Findit or make search alerts or feeds on your own keywords or authors you would like to follow.

DTU Findit covers 190 million articles from scientific journals and subject databases and 150,000 e-books - data that DTU Library subscribe to - and the DTU Library printed collection of 340,000 books.

DTU staff and students
DTU staff and students can download most of the literature found in DTU Findit directly, "free of charge". A small number of references have to be ordered from an other supplier but still via DTU Findit - you get the message "Request from commercial supplier". For DTU staff the cost is covered by DTU's budget, DTU students must pay 50 DKK for a copy.

Printed books can be reserved for loan through DTU Findit and picked up at the library at Lyngby or Ballerup Campus. DTU staff can have books sent directly to their department address by internal mail.

DTU staff and students are automatically registered as users and have access to the full DTU Findit via their DTU login world wide.

The industry and public
For non-DTU users DTU Library makes about 90 million journal articles available via DTU Findit.

About 10 million articles published as Open Access can be downloaded directly, free of charge. Other articles can be purchased by credit card and downloaded directly, or they can be downloaded free of charge from the walk-in PCs in the library in Lyngby or Ballerup.

Printed books can be reserved for loan through DTU Findit. Borrowers without DTU login must register before they can borrow books or order articles.

Our e-book collections with more than 260,000 e-books can not be accessed by the industry or public outside of DTU and the collection is not searchable in DTU Findit without a DTU login. E-books can be searched and downloaded from computers in the library, as mentioned above.
