How do I get access to standards?

Danish standards - and international standards that have been implemented in Denmark (i.e. DS/EN, DS/IEC or DS/ISO)
You gain access to standards have already been purchased by DTU Library via the website of "Dansk Standard"

If the standard is not part of DTU Library’s collection, you can order it. Simply add the document to the shopping basket. When you have selected all the items you wish to order, click on the shopping cart in the gray bar at the top of the website and follow the instructions. NOTICE: At the moment it is not possible to create a login to the DS website. Please email bibliotek@dtu.dk if you which to order standards. If you are a student, please state why you need this particular standard (e.g. provide the title of a course you are attending or the project you are working on). DTU employees do not have to provide this information. You will receive the standard by email – typically within a few days.

Other standards
If you wish to order standards that cannot be accessed or ordered via Dansk Standard (e.g. due to special license agreements), you can order them via DTU Findit.
When we receive your order, we will try to borrow the standard from another library. You will receive an email when the material is ready for pick-up.

How do I install the requested plugin to my computer, when I receive a DRM protected file from DTU Findit?

How do I order materials from bibliotek.dk for pick-up at DTU Library?

When you order or borrow material through bibliotek.dk, you choose to pick up the material at DTU Library, called Technical Information Center of Denmark.

If materials from bibliotek.dk are going to be delivered at DTU Library, we need the form from bibliotek.dk to be filled out with the right information’s. Otherwise we will not be able to deliver the material to you.

You can find further information on how to order via bibliotek.dk at our website.

How do I order material via DTU Library? If you are looking for a certain type of material, you can use the DTU Library search tool DTU Findit: http://findit.dtu.dk/
If you do not find what you are looking for through DTU Findit, please then try below options:
Where do I find the books/articles that I have ordered? When you order a book or an article that is not available electronically, the material will be handled by the staff in the library hall. You will receive an email when the material is available for pick-up.

Books from DTU Library's own collection are placed on the pick-up shelves to the left of the reference desk and the copy machine (Lyngby) and next to the self-service lending machine (Ballerup). DTU employees may have material sent to their office if they wish. You borrow the books using the self-service machine. You can also ask for assistance at the reference desk (when it is staffed). On the pick-up shelves, the books are arranged in alphabetical order (after the last name of the user). If your last name is Karlsen, the book will be found under the letter K.

Books from other libraries are available for pick-up at the reference desk (i.e. only when the reference desk is staffed - see opening hours here: ). If you are a DTU employee, the books will be sent to your office. Typically, books from other libraries have been ordered via bibliotek.dk or via the order form in DTU Findit.

Books on loan from other libraries will be available for pick-up for 10 days after which they will be returned to the lending library.

Articles are placed in the bottom right corner of the pick-up-shelves. The articles have been put into envelopes with the users’ names on it. The envelopes are not arranged in any particular order, so please make sure you check them thoroughly. The articles remain on the shelf for at least 6 months.
