Library Lunch Talk: PV powered LED lighting – a platform for research and development of PV powered lighting products

I forbindelse med den aktuelle udstilling i DTU Bibliotek, Lyngby, holder Project Manager, Peter Behrensdorff Poulsen, DTU Fotonik fredagens Library Lunch Talk.

Fredag d. 27. februar kl. 12.10 - 12.50 holder vi igen Library Lunch Talk i biblioteket i Lyngby - alle er velkommen!

Foredraget "PV powered LED lighting – a platform for research and development of PV powered lighting products" forestås af Civilingeniør Sune Thorsteinsson, DTU Fotonik, og holdes i forbindelse med udstillingen "Al innovation starter med en lysende idé".

Abstract:
PV-powered lighting systems offer outdoor lighting where it is elsewhere cumbersome or expensive to enable lighting. Application of these systems at high latitudes, where the difference in day length between summer and winter is large and the solar energy is less requires smart dimming functions for reliable lighting. In this work we demonstrate interacting mathematical simulation tools and a laboratory facilities to characterize and dimension systems from “nose to tail” in great details to support improvement of the systems and to make accurate field performance predictions. The development process is demonstrated by real cases of product development.
